I've raised £250 to go towards the restoration costs of the listed organ in our village church, St John's, Acaster Selby.

Jessica and I are both taking part in the Run for All weekend in York. I am running the York 10K and Jessica is doing the Junior run (2.5K) on Sunday 5th August.
Jessica and I are raising funds to go towards the restoration of the organ in our village church (St John's, Acaster Selby). We would like to do our little bit towards this project which means a lot to us.
The unique organ built by Joseph William Walker and was installed in the church in 1851. It is in desperate need of restoration and yet is still played at regular services.
The estimate for the restoration is £21,310 plus VAT. The small fundraising committee has contacted various organ charities and other organizations in the hope that they will offer to help with the cost of bringing the organ back to its former glory. The village of Acaster Selby has started fundraising with various events being organised including a car boot, Safari Supper and Pint, Pig and Pie evening.
