    Story

I care because I have been there and I know how it feels to be in that situation.
My name is Dickson Rwigamba, I am 30 years old I have been in London for thirteen years after joining my mother from Uganda as a refugee. I was raised by Mr Edward Sekajjugo who took me in when I was as little as 4 years. He did not only raise me alone but also many younger children as far as I can remember, he is such a great man who enjoys helping the community at large( thank God he is still alive).
I did not grow up with my mother because of the war that took place in Rwanda which left my father dead and my ended up in diaspora luckly I was reunited with my mother hence ending up in London.
I stayed with my mother for 2 months because we could not get on very well so I ended up on the streets of London, until this day, I still do not know why most black families never stay together.
I was on street for some months until I met a friend who introduced me to New horizon a youth charity which helps homeless young people which took me off the street.
I was then introduced to St martins another charity which helps homeless people to give them hope in life.
Hear I met Mr Peter and Chris who were our football coaches every Friday(they are such good people). They introduced me to miss D who then arranged a work placement for two weeks in John Lewis.
I was offered a job after that because my manager could not let me go, after one year I came up with the idea of starting Sekajjugo cup in the name of my grand father as I call him to help the youth just like he does(sometimes you need to give something back in return). It was running for some good years because I used to afford but now it is impossible since I am a family man. I managed to build a hall for the youths were we all meet and celebrate the winning team during Christmas 25th. Unemployment is at peak for the youths in Ugandan but I have so many projects but I can not afford since I do not earn a lot in John Lewis. I really need your support and care.
I apologise for my English because I am not that educated but I need your love and support. Many thanks Dickson.
