    Story

Didcot Baby Monday is a community-led group for parents with young babies to connect with each other, share experiences and form support networks. We also provide access to evidence based information and support in some of the areas most needed in the first few months with a new baby, such as feeding, sleep & weaning. Drop-in breastfeeding support is available every week from a qualified lactation consultant and trained peer supporters.

Usually we hold weekly 2 hour sessions where parents can drop in for a chat over a cup of tea, with play mats and toys for the babies. However, due to the current Coronavirus pandemic we are holding our sessions online via Zoom.

The group is a constituted not-for profit organisation (Didcot APUK) run by local volunteer mums, established in 2015. Our running costs are around £6,500 per year (room hire, Zoom licence, insurance, refreshments, equipment, printing, breastfeeding support). We aim to raise the majority of our funding though local and national grant programmes, but this is an ongoing challenge and your donations make a vital contribution. We really appreciate any donations that you are able to make. These will help ensure that we are able to continue to provide this resource for families in Didcot and surrounding areas.

    Thank you!

Thank you so much to everyone who had made a donation to DBM over the last year. These have helped us to run virtual sessions enabling local mums to access much needed support, as well as to connect with each other during this incredibly difficult and isolating time to have a baby. With restrictions easing and the weather warming up we are now enjoying meeting face-to face and are currently running 'walk & talks' twice a week. We are looking forward to restarting indoor sessions very soon, keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates!
