I've raised £3000 to enrich the lives of young and older people from communities that are under-represented in theatre.

Sing a Book is a Community Interest Company working in partnership with the Goldsmith Community Centre. As part of the Lewisham Festival of Creative Ageing, young people aged 7-18 will work with seniors aged 55+ on devising and producing the sequel to last year's critically acclaimed, sellout musical, 'Fern meets Dido'. 'Dido through the Looking Glass' The Musical will provide local people the opportunity to be involved in performing arts, directing, stage management and marketing, while developing skills in collaboration, critical thinking and self-presentation. It will enable young and old to work together and strengthen inter-generational ties and understanding.
Your contribution will assist with the delivery of a series of Boot camp style theatre workshops. These will take place over 6 weeks, leading to 4 performances of the play at The Goldsmith Community Centre, on August 30th & September 14th & 15th 2019.
Contributions as small as £5 will enrich the lives of communities and disadvantaged young and older people that have historically been under represented in theatre, giving them a sense of purpose and helping to build community cohesion.
