The Offside Trust was formed In December 2016 following the brave disclosures from a group ex professional footballers speaking out in relation to the sexual abuse they had suffered as children at the hands of their football coaches whilst trying to persue their childhood dreams.
The issue became national news and disclosures snowballed across a blanket of sports showing this issue had not only affected the football world but in many other sports including boxing gymnastics athletics and many many others.

The Offside Trust are raising funds to:

(1)Educate children clubs and coaches in sport of this issue of CSA and eradicate it from all sports.
(2) Support survivors of CSA along their road to recovery.

The reason I am working with The Offside Trust is due to my own experiences of CSA as a child whilst chasing my dreams in football and the impact this had on not only my own life but my family and friends.
I made my own disclosure in 2013 but did not feel there was any support available leaving me feeling isolated and alone at a time when I needed significant support.

The Offside Trust have been a rock to me offering support from people who truly understand my story and do not judge.
I am now a proud ambassador and will support the goals of @Offsidetrust to make sport safer for children.
