Story

Mac Jim McCarry was born sleeping on Wednesday 21st August 2024 after carrying him for 25 weeks. Mac was the most perfect little guy, with Jamies nose and my lips. He was Jamie all over! He is so loved and we think about him every single minute, every single day. Jamie and I miss him terribly but he was simply too small for the world. If love could have saved him, he would have lived forever. Our baby boys due date was Monday 2nd of December. We are celebrating his life everyday, making memories for him and thinking about him, feeling our love for him every step of the way.

The last few months have been hard, the hardest we have ever encountered. But thankfuly, Jamie and I have had nothing but love and support from our friends, families and colleagues. Thank you all so much for your cards, flowers, gifts, messages and general outpouring of love over the last few months. We couldn’t have done it without you all. We will forever be grateful to all you beautiful humans.

As December hits, we are thinking of the various families that have gone through the same heartbreak as us this year, and unfortunately, the families this deep loss will continue to affect in 2025 and beyond. Jamie and I would like to give something back to the three causes that have helped us so much over our tragic loss. Any money donated will be split and donated to the following causes:

- Family Room, Ward 11, St Johns Hospital, Livingston. The funds will go towards the upkeeping of a very special room that welcomes sleeping babies into the world in the most special and comfortable way.

- Simba. A charity that provided Jamie and I with a special box full of items that allowed us to make some incredibly special memories with Mac which we will keep, love and treasure forever.

- Held in our Hearts. A charity that provided Jamie and I with a photographer to capture special moments with Mac before we had to say goodbye and also counciling to help us get back on our feet.

Anything you can give will help families celebrate their precious child and create memories that will last a lifetime in a time of loud sadness. Please feel free to share this page as we are looking to make as much as we can for these amazing causes. Thank you in advance. 💙
