    Story

Please share this post on you social media as every penny counts.

Scott has always worked in the charity sector for Sue Ryder Care and the RSPCA fundraising and in the retail part of the charities over the last 30 years always giving to people in need and never asking for anything in return. He has been dealt a severe blow and is now disabled and in constant pain 24 hours a day.

The photo in above shows him only a few years ago with Tetbury Platoon, B Company, Gloucestehire Army Cadet Force(The Rifles). The main photo is Scott less than 2 weeks ago after being rushed into Cirencester Hospital after collapsing from respitory problems caused by Costochondritis, also known as Tietze’s syndrome which is an inflammation of the cartilage in the rib cage.

Costochondritis can range from mild to severe and gives the same symptons as a severe heart attack and affect being able to breath. A Severe case can also cause shooting pains down your limbs or unbearable chest pain that interferes with your life and doesn’t seem to go away. The condition does come and go but it is caused by having Fibromyalgia which does not go away and only gets worse.

His debilitatin condition, Fibromyalgia which causes chronic widespread bodily pain, a heightened pain response to pressure all over the body which causes extreme sleep problems, severe tiredness where the smallest normal everyday things tire him quickly and easily, memory loss, shaking especially in the legs, muscle and joint pain, digestive problems, numbness and tingling, sensitivity to light and temperature, severe migraines and on top of it all, hair loss Due to stress. By the time he was diagnosed he was at the final stages so the condition is severe.

On top of all this, he has reoccuring Cholesteatoma which is a growth of cells that eats healthy cells(flesh eating) occurring behind the ear drum that has caused damage to the ear drum itself, the middle ear bones(which the surgon has tried to rebuild), the inner ear, the facial nerve, the barrier between the brain and the ear, the blood vessels supplying brain structures. He has reoccuring chronic ear infections from the Cholesteatoma, extreme hearing loss and dizziness. When he was in his 20's he had meningitis where he almost died and this has been linked to the Cholesteama( which can cause brain abscesses, so far it has not and the saving grace is that it is malignant) Fibromyalgia and Pernicious Anemia . Each time the Cholesteatoma manifests, it requires an operation, 6 head ops to date. The Pernicious Anemia causes him to feel sick most of the time and vomiting some of the time.

Scott has dedicated and given so much to people and animal welfare all his working life and now he needs help to adapt the current back extension to a downstairs wheelchair accessible bedroom with a wetroom for his debilitating disabling conditios. He has never asked anyone for help but needs help now.

Scott now relys on friends and family to look after him and get him to appointments.

Please help with this project to help enhance his current living area which is a hospital bed in his livingroom. It would mean the world to him to have his own area

Please share this with as many people as possible as he may have to have anoth head operation this October is current medications do not help him.

All money left after the project will be distributed to the organisations listed at th bottom of the page. If a grant is approved to help the all money raised will be distributed to the organisations listed below.

    Thank you for reading.
