Story

Disability Motorsport Scotland (DMS) is the first Sottish Charity to offer FREE motorsport taster sessions for people living with a disability. We facilitate opportunities to cater to the specific needs of ANY person who has an interest in motor racing. At present, DMS have one adapted race car which allows us to offer driving experiences and passenger rides. This has proven to be so popular amongst Scotland’s disabled population that as a club we are now oversubscribed. We would love to continue to offer these experiences to as many people as possible, however in order to do so, we now need another adapted car to cater to the demand. The fact that there is such a high demand within this area is extremely heart-warming for DMS and we really want to keep providing exhilarating, adrenaline fuelled motorsport sessions for our members!

Currently, at each of our ‘Come and Try’ sessions, we can offer 12 people a free taster experience. However, with another car, we could double this provision at EVERY event.

We need your help! Please help us to raise £5,000 to buy and adapt a car with suitable controls to allow us to double our offering to people living with a disability in Scotland who have an interest in motorsport; are seeking an adrenaline rush or are simply looking to join a family of like-minded people.
