Story
Hi, I’m Michael, founder of The Disability Sports Network. I’m raising £2,500 to help cover hotel and travel costs so I can attend and photograph the incredible Winter Paralympic sports this season.
I’ve been granted a Premier Round Press Pass, which gives me rare access to cover these amazing athletes up close. However, I must pay for my accommodation well in advance — the first £2,500 is due by 16th August, and the remaining balance (£2200) by 1st December.
Your support will help me:
Secure travel and accommodation
Cover essential logistics
Continue providing free, high-quality photography to grassroots disabled sports
Disability sports are often overlooked and underfunded. Over the past decade, support has dropped drastically, and these athletes deserve more visibility. Last year, I covered the Paris Paralympics at my own expense, and the experience proved how powerful these stories can be.
This winter, I’ll be creating a dedicated magazine celebrating Winter Paralympic sports, giving these athletes the spotlight they’ve earned.
Just over three years ago, I was able-bodied. A life-changing event shifted everything — and now, through this work, I’m showing that being disabled is not a limitation. Sport is powerful. Inclusion matters.
