Story

I'm a 17 student, recently home from 2 weeks volunteering in a local school in Kumasi, Ghana.

Myself and many other volunteers have been and are currently volunteering at the Divine International School, where over 400 kids attend. Every child pays 1 Ghanaian cedi each day (£0.20) to attend and have an education.

Within the last few weeks, the current PMGY volunteers have worked as a group and with the school to recreate the nursery, which started off with a couple wooden tables and chairs, and sparsely designed walls. Now, the kids have enought tables and chairs that everyone has a place to sit, and tiled floors and brightly painted walls.

The NEXT PROJECT is to recreate the school's computer lab. Currently, there is only 4 computers in the entire school, that all the kids have to crowd around, and there is electrical wires all over the floor, which can be a danger.

The money raised will go towards floor tiles, tables and chairs for the kids to sit on, paint to redecorate the walls, and finding a safer way to store the electrical wires. Any money left over AFTER these things have been completed will go towards a new computer.

Any and all donations will make a difference to the children's lives and education. From myself and the children and staff of Divine International School, thank you 💗
