David John Ellis our loved husband and father recently passed away. We have decided, as a family, we would like to raise some money to buy a Cocker Spaniel, his favourite breed of dog, in memory of him. We would like to ask for donations for the dog instead of floral tributes.

Once we have bought the dog, through your generous donations, we hope to name him or her ‘DJ’.

The dog will be placed with the charity; Hearing Dogs for Deaf (https://www.hearingdogs.org.uk/about/) to be trained and, ultimately, homed.

If you don't know much about these dogs, they carry out many valuable tasks and roles which include;
• Listening for everyday sounds like the doorbell, smoke alarm or alarm clock
• Being fabulous company helping to relieve loneliness, the feelings of isolation and stress
• Aiding the owner to become more confident and independent

Please give generously to help provide a Cocker Spaniel, the dog will make an huge positive impact on someone's quality of life.
