Weʼre raising £25,000 to The David Johnson Emerging Talent Award [DJ ETA]
Don't have time to donate right now?
To create a lasting legacy in celebration of producer David Johnson. The inaugural 'David Johnson Award for Emerging Talent' will take place at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2022. A team of scouts, chaired by arts/culture journalist Helen Hawkins will choose and present a cash award to the performer/s/show/creative independent that best reflects David's passionate and discerning eye for talent. David Johnson's flair for commercial theatre was matched, and often combined with, his fervent support of emerging and unique artists. This award will be made in that spirit.

Dear All we think Dj may be turning in his grave at the thought of this but we are setting-up a legitimate Scottish registered charity - A SCIO - to distribute the award money. It is a long process but we hope the SCIO and associated bank account will be in place by August 2022 but if it isn't we will go ahead with the inaugural DAVID JOHNSON EMERGING TALENT AWARD on Sunday 28th August at Assembly [on-sale early June] THANK YOU for your support so far and if you are interested in becoming a voluntary scout please get in touch.
