Story

Dobby the Kitten was found by a vets in Manchester abandoned on a farm; helpless and almost dead. He has the feline equivalent of "down syndrome", as well as shorter front legs than the back, which is probably why his mum left him. We adopted him wanting to give him the best life we could. Unfortunately, when I took him to my vets they gave us the awful news that he is very poorly boy. He recently had an operation and almost didn't make it through but he is a little fighter and didn't give up. We took him home and he seemed fine, however, he went back for a check up and he is still a very poorly kitten. He then had to have another operation which again didn't help. He then had an xray which showed that he has a megacolon. This means that his colon is over stretched and therefore Dobby has problems defecating properly which can be painful and life threatening. He is staying at the vets for a few days on a drip to help his colon reduce but unfortunately there is a possibility that he may need a very big operation on his colon to keep him alive but unfortunately this is very costly.

As a student this is getting impossible to keep up with but we just can't give up on him as he is such a little character with a beautiful soul. I am therefore asking, for anyone that can, to please make a donation toward his veterinary care. This is not something I would normally do, but Dobby is desperate and deserves to live his life to the full.
