Story

‘Doggo who broke Leggo’

On the 7 June 2018 I was deep in the woods woth my beloved dogs, Blue and Lottie..

About 3 miles into the woods I heard lottie yelping, when I approched her it seemed she had damaged her right front leg and when i got closer the horror started to unfold. Lottie had suffered 4 major fractures in her Ulna and Radius, the bone had pierced the skin and blood was pouring out of the wound. I quickly picked her up and began running out of the woods, blue along side. I reached an opening in the woods and called many vets but to no avail as it was saturday and a lot closed. I finally managed to get theough to Whte Cross Vets who told me to bring her asap where they sedated her, took and xray and bandaged her wounds. I was then refered to Torringtons orthopedic animal hospital in Brighouse where she was assesed, kept overnight and operated on succesfully on the 8th June. It was a 4 hour surgery where she required 6 pins and 3 plates across 4 fractures and two bones!

lottie is now in full recovery and she will be ready to come home tomorrow for a long period of healing.

I incured costs of £4000 and as the insurance renewel wasn‘t automated I had to pay these costs which has crippled me completely.

If you feel like you’d like to contribute to Lottie’s very expensive weekend then that would be appreciated on the highest of levels.

Thank you.
