DOG RESCUE NETWORK (NW WALES)

This independent organisation was established to offer a lifeline to the under-represented dogs in need of North West Wales. It is necessarily run on a small scale as we must be able to offer support for life to any dogs we rehome.

We can offer support and advice to dog owners who feel they have nowhere else to turn to and a rehoming service for dogs in desperate need including pound dogs and farm collies.

We have years of rescue experience and have previously been instrumental in co-ordinating the rescue and rehoming of abandoned pound dogs, farm collies who won't work and many others in impossible situations. Although we are a new rescue we have this experience and understanding to fall back on.

Our resources are limited due to reliance on scarce foster homes. However, we always do our best to help and explore alternatives if these are full at the time.

We carry out homechecks on potential owners and do behaviour assessments of all dogs in order to give any offers of a home for a rescue dog the best possible chance of success.

We are not a registered charity and currently have to cover all costs of neutering, vaccination, worming, de-flea and any other medical and transport costs from our own pocket and fundraising via car boot sales. Hopefully, if we can make a name for ourselves we will become truly independent and viable by asking for adoption fees to help cover medical costs of one dog to help the next. This will then free up any funds raised on justgiving to pay for emergency boarding if a dog needs removing from a situation immediately and we have no other option.

Any money most kindly donated will make our day as we will be able to make further plans for preparing our dogs in foster to move on to their new lives. Then it begins again.
