Story

Sherry was 2 years old when she was shot whilst scavenging for food. This left her partially paralysed and she spent years dragging her legs around, causing painful open wounds. But Sherry’s fighting spirit shone through, and with the help of Dogs4Rescue, she has been given a new lease of life. She now zips around on wheels, happily playing with other dogs and enjoying her life.

Dogs4Rescue is an independent dog sanctuary. We save dogs that, like Sherry, have undergone unimaginable abuse and torment, from being abandoned on the streets as an unwanted pet, being deliberately run over, to being dragged behind a car. Some of the dogs have literally been rescued seconds from death.

We are the only ‘cage-free’ dog sanctuary in the UK. We offer a foster home to 30 rescue dogs and help them to find their forever families. Kennels can be unsettling and scary places for abused dogs, so by allowing them to roam free, we help to learn how to live with other dogs and people.

We have already re-homed over 700 dogs who are happy living with their new families, but there are so many more dogs that desperately need our help.

Dogs4Rescue is expanding so we can help at least double the amount of dogs and provide more space for other rescue friends including pigs and chickens! The new centre will also include a fun, interactive education centre for local children to learn about, feed and play with the animals.

But we cannot do this alone!

We need your help to equip and modify the new centre so it is fit for our fluffy friends to live in and for children and schools to visit. We also desperately need to complete upgrades to our existing centre, so that it is safe for our dogs.

Please donate and help us to give a happy life to our doggy friends.
