Story

On the 4th of April 2021 my very close friend Dobby suffered a near fatal brain hemorrhage which left him in an extremely critcal condition. When Dobby woke from his coma the extent of his brain injury was revelaed leaving him with paralysis of the left side of his body, reduced cognitive function, impaired speech and vision which has had a detrimental impact on him and his young family.

As the father of two young boys Dobby is very aware of how life changing this is not only for him but them also and it deeply upsets him that he cannot emotionally support them at this time. He hates missing out on being able to do normal dad things and is afraid of missing significant events in their tiny lives due to covid restrictions stopping regular visits from them both. His family are struggling to keep things going due to the distance and trying to carry on a normal routine for the boys.

I would to like to try and reduce a little of their stress by raising money to help with anything they may need including any improvements to the home to make it safe and possible for his eventual return or a well deserved family day out to make memories that will last them all a life time. To do this I am planning with my wife to walk from the Mount in Fleetwood to the Windmill in Lytham. Anybody who knows me knows that this in itself is a massive task but we’ll do anything to help our best friends.

Together lets get Dobby home to his family xx
