Story

Exeter HDKI Dojo Exeter HDKI Karate club is newly established and is currently operating in Pinhoe, Exeter.

Club Instructor Chrissie Howard, faced a lot of difficulties with financing her own passion, as a young Karateka and has a vision of providing an inclusive facility - to help people gain 'achievable' access, to something that can only enrich lives.

The dream is to have a purpose built facility that will provide a range of community function - but predominantly become a Karate Academy, encouraging a wealth of benefits to all that attend.  Promoting  Health  &  Wellbeing  and  providing  mentorship,  to  people  of  all  ages. With Karate featuring in the next Olympics, it could be about to explode!

The South West is often cut off from access to good purpose built facilities that attract quality instruction. With the right facility and the right funding, we could provide better access to promote development and opportunity - bringing people to Exeter, instead of always having go searching elsewhere. Ensuring people get what they need, to be the best that they can be Offering:

Quality Instruction, affirding the ability to invite the best of instructors, from all over the UK and the rest of the World.

Physiotherapy.

Yoga.

And a massive amount of opportunity to access multiple methods of complimentary training.

Karate has been proven to:  Provides a total body workout - Promotes a healthy lifestyle - Builds self confidence - Improves cardiovascular health - Promotes weight loss - Improve reflexes / response times - Improve and encourage focus and stillness - Teaches morals and values - Promotes muscle tone - Develops social skills - Improves mood and supports mental health.
