I have been given the life changing experience of taking part in a visit to Tamil Nadu to visit our Health and Education Clinic in India which focuses on giving vital HIV vaccinations to the surrounding community. All Hallows Catholic College has been building this clinic since September 2014 and each year it has grown through generous donations and fundraising which takes place as a college. As a result of this, we have been able to raise the community’s standard of living and quality of life as they now have access to healthcare and have an opportunity to learn and grow as individuals and develop aspirations they wouldn’t have previously thought were possible. Over the years All Hallows has raised an incredible £40,000 to build the clinic and to help support the surrounding areas in Tamil Nadu. In order to keep the clinic up and running, it is vital that as a school we keep visiting the area to volunteer and support the wonderful people that keep our clinic running.

To help raise money and awareness I will be running the Macclesfield Half Marathon which takes place on the 24th September, all sponsorship towards achieving this will be greatly appreciated. I will also be organising a Car wash to raise money for the India Clinic and I will be putting on a series of cake sales to raise money.

All Hallows has done an enormous amount to help the people of Tamil Nadu and raise their quality of life, but it simply can’t be achieved without the generous donations people make.
