In summer 2018 I plan to fly to South Africa as part of the African Conservation Experience. The specific project I hope to participate in is a research project in the Phinda nature reserve. Some of the duties I will undertake on this experience are tackling poaching, maintaining habitats and monitoring animal behaviour. The research this organisation does is essential for the survival of endangered species such as the big five, lions, elephants, rhinos, giraffes and buffalo.
