    Story

Dominic was an amazing, positive person with a warm heart and passion for friendship, arts, music, food and a Hare Krishna devotee. He was a dedicated volunteer, and he loved to share his time, energy and enthusiasm with the causes he cared about. Dom faced many adversities in his life and his friends and supporters helped him through tough times. He was a champion of mental health survivors and a cheerleader for creative arts.

There were many groups who supported Dom and enjoyed his creative contributions. We're asking you - his friends, family and those close to him - if you would like to give a donation to support the incredible work of three organisations with whom Dom found friendship, achievement, comfort and creativity: Lifecraft, Mixed Bag Theatre and Oblique Arts. You can see the work of these groups on the links below.

Thank you for helping Dom's fearless spirit to live on through the work of his friends.

Dom wrote this about Mixed Bag Theatre (MBT) in 2020: 'MBT has improved my confidence and self-esteem. I've been getting on better with the group and feel more relaxed in and out of class. I love doing breathwork. It's amazing. I liked learning the Tai chi with Fara. Then we put it into a theatre piece with The Aquatics. I came up with that name! I liked the smooth movements of the waves, and working together makes it look more appealing. I've enjoyed the artwork with Sa'adiah and Dylan. It was fun. People drew around me, which was cool.

Beverley from Oblique Arts: ‘Dom has been an enthusiastic member of the Oblique Arts 'family' for the 3 years. He brought his wonderful light, love, creativity and charm to arts workshops, theatre events , music gigs, zoom classes and exhibitions. We benefited from his beautiful generous spirit, seeing him support others and inspiring us all with his humour and readiness to learn something new all the time. With gratitude we receive the donation in celebration of his life. We will use it to make even more art opportunities this year.’
