On the 12th October 2025 I will be running the Manchester Half Marathon — 13.1 miles across the city of Manchester — in memory of my grandad, one of my biggest heroes, who sadly passed away from cancer last year. I’m doing this to raise funds for Tender Nursing Care (TNC), who provide overnight free care to people with life-limiting illnesses in Preston, South Ribble and Chorley, giving comfort to patients and respite to their families. Every donation will help TNC continue this vital work — supporting nurses, equipment and training — so that others facing hardship can receive care with dignity, just as my grandad deserved.
