Leek Wootton Sports club is an important part of the Kenilworth and Leek Wootton community. It provides a fun, safe platform for kids to play sports and develop the skills, values and positive ethics that will serve them well in future life. One such team is my sons U8 football team, the mighty Colts!

Leek Wootton is like any other sports club, it depends on the energy and enthusiasm of parents to coach the teams, it relies on the pockets of the parents to pay the fees and relies on fund raising events and support from Big Companies to survive.

Leek Wootton Sports and Social club isn't a registered Charity nor is it a limited company. It's simply too small. This is grassroots sport organisation and it needs support.

So raising funds is the name, "Movember "is the game. I'll be growing a ridiculous moustache for the month and at the end of it I'll be hosting a party with a duel purpose; mark my 40th and raise some funds for the Leek Wootton U8s.

It looks very promising that my company will match whatever gets raised and donate to the club but I'll confirm that over the next few days.

I'll keep the photos going to see how the moustache is growing and I'm willing to consider ridiculous photo opportunities. I will nip suggestion in the bud; no I will not grow a comb-over (You know who you are!).

I have a further insistence and that is moustache must be pronounced as Moustache or tash and not tosh or moustoche. It has the letter "a" in the spelling.
