I've raised £100000 to restore Dominica. Devastated by category 5 hurricane Maria, the damage is colossal. As an independent island, help is urgently required!

Story

A catastrophic disaster has hit the Windward Island of Dominica, which is also know as the Nature Island of the Caribbean and is often mistaken for Dominican Republic. Hurricane Maria has completely devastated the Island, where we have many family members living, as do so many others, with the population being just over 71,000 people. According to the Dominican Prime Minister - Roosevelt Skerrit - speaking in the early hour of the morning during the hurricane, on Tuesday 19th September, Dominica has 'lost all that money can buy'. Dominica may never recover from this tragedy. Our concern now is securing medical and emergency aid (shelter, water, food, clothing etc.), the rescue operation of people who are trapped and dealing with the physical damage to the Island.

So we are appealing to everyone to give what they can, to help to support the restoration of this beautiful island and the livelihoods of so many people. Any donations will be greatly appreciated, as it will be a slow process getting aid to this island. As independant fundraisers, we will make sure the money gets to the right people and will be sure to document and update you on the distribution of the funds raised.
