Story

This year Dominick was selected to be part of Scotland National Development Squad trials for U13! After not so happy last year for him, where he was actually chosen to play for Scottish National team and he got withdrawn from the team due to his citizenship. We have decided to apply and pay for his citizenship extortionate 973 pounds so he can finally achieve his dream after all the effort and hard work and he won't be refused, due to not his own fault, to do what makes him happy.

When we arrived in Scotland 13 years ago, we never dreamed of staying here for this long and after rocky start we fell in love with this beautiful country. Dominick was born in Kirkcaldy 2 years after we arrived and due to legislation, he can't gain citizenship automatically and we had to prove that he has been living here for 10 years continuously. Loads of paperwork and fees involved, but we got through it eventually, after gaining few (more) grey hair and eating loads of chocolate to maintain the stress level down.

All of you, who know Domi, you would agree that his accent is more likely Scottish then Czech. His roots are Czech, but his heart is Scottish. He loves Scotland and he loves being part of such a lovely community and Dundee is his home. His dual nationality will make him proud to be Czech and Scottish not just on piece of paper, but also in his heart and soul.

We are not asking for much, couple of pounds if you can spare would be so helpful. We have set a target of £ 700, but we would be grateful for any help. We immensely appreciate your time to read this pledge and thank you for all the support and help.
