Dominic is 2.5 and in the midst of his second battle with Wilms Tumors (kidney cancer). The first battle was when he was 8-14 months old and included 6 months of increasingly toxic chemo and a full removal of his right kidney (the tumor did not respond to chemo and grew to the point of kidney removal being the only option). He was cancer free for 15 months when his MRI showed a growing mass in his remaining kidney. After 6 weeks of chemo, this tumor has also failed to respond to chemotherapy. Dom will face surgery to remove the affected area in May (leaving him with one partial kidney).

Dom is an always active, resilient kid. He’s had going on 5 major surgeries and countless MRI’s (under anesthesia) and continues to run the halls at oncology clinic. His resilience is amazing and helped get everyone through his treatments!
