Why I’m Walking the Walk – For Women Ahead

This year, I’ve committed to walking the Kiltwalk and raising £500 in support of Women Ahead — a local community group dedicated to inspiring, connecting, and supporting women in business.

I’m walking because I believe in the power of women helping women. I’ve seen firsthand how vital it is to have a strong network of support, encouragement, and opportunity — especially in the world of business, where challenges can often outweigh the resources available.

Women Ahead creates space for growth, mentorship, and collaboration. It lifts up voices that might otherwise go unheard. It builds confidence. It opens doors. And it reminds every woman that she is not alone.

This walk is not just about miles. It’s about momentum. As the wise woman Vornelia Connelly once said:

“Actions, not words.”
