Doncaster has a huge amount of homeless individuals sleeping rough in the town centre every night. As the winter is drawing in, the nights are getting colder and more dangerous for these individuals. Not to mention some of the locals who have taken to harassing and attacking these vulnerable individuals, one gentleman was left in a coma for months after being beaten up while he was sleeping in a doorway, another gentleman was burnt alive after his tent was set on fire. This is not acceptable!

Doncaster Street Solidarity is a volunteer ran group that walks round town on busy drinking nights. During these walks round town we aim to bring a sense of security for all homeless individuals in the town but we also have emergency packs. The packs currently include emergency foil blankets, high energy foods and drinks. We are focusing on battling the hypothermia, dehydration and immediate hunger that these individuals face. Our aim is to go bigger and better! Eventually providing stoves, sleeping bags, roll mats, blankets and tents! However as this is a completely volunteer ran group we need your help with funding!
