I'm raising £5000 to support Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team in memory of Jonathan Dobson

Story

We are raising money to support Cairngorm Mountain Rescue in memory of our friend Jonathan "Donkey" Dobson who sadly passed away earlier this year in a snowboarding accident.

Combining some of his many passions in life, on Sunday 30th August we will be setting off at 5am and cycling around 70km from Glasgow to the foot of Ben Lomond, followed by a (hopefully) quick ascent of the munro and then back to Glasgow for 18 holes of golf to finish off our day.

If you would like to join us on either the cycle or the hill please get in touch with myself, Michael or Stuart to arrange and we may also have room for a golfer or two.

All funds raised will be donated directly to Cairngorm Mountain Rescue, who provide assistance to injured or lost persons in and around the Cairngorm Mountains. The vast area that they cover includes the Northern Cairngorms, Ben Alder and areas of Monadhliath Mountains to the East Side of Loch Ness. The team is made up entirely of volunteers who give their time freely to help those in need of aid in the mountains in all weather conditions.

Their funding is provided entirely by donations.
