We have had Bella our beloved Bassett hound for 3 months ... she is now 5 1/2 months and to the outside world she is a happy contented and playful puppy..
Unfortunaley unbeknown to us Bella was born & raised in a puppy farm ! The lady we bought her from was selling on dogs for a 3rd party ... from day one it was clear Bella was poorly and we have spent the last 2 months back and forth to the vet with neumerous anti biotics with non clearing up her scar damaged lungs and chest..
we did manage to make contact with the lady who sold us Bella to be told we could hand her back but scared of her fate we kept her as my children fell instantly in love with her ..
the reason I have made this page is because with Bella having a pre existing medical condition due to her horrendous start in life she is now at this minute being transported by vet ambulance to a Newcastle hospital.. her condition deteriorated last night . Within hours our beloved Bella took so poorly she couldn't walk or breath and had emergency X-rays and blood tests which have confirmed Bella has bronchal pneumonia !
The next 3 days are critical for her and she will be in an oxgygen tent and on iv anti biotics.
I know some people say it's only a dog but Bella is our baby ... she is the one my kids run to every morning.. the one that can make everyone smile when sad. And we couldn't imagine life without her.
