A very good friend of mine that ive known for years is physically disabled and in urgent need of a mobility scooter. She has been receiving disability benefit for years and now PIP have decided she doesn't need it anymore as she can walk ( ha what a joke, she would love to walk) they have reduced her allowance so much she has had to give back her mobility scooter she was buying herself as she can no longer afford it. She cannot walk at all without crutches and still can't walk more than about 5 metres in total on a good day.
Please please help me to get enough funds so she can buy a scooter outright, she is completely house bound without it.
She is appealing the PIP decision but anyone that's had any experience with the benefits appeal process knows this can take months, which is not fare.
