Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Fourteen-year-old Liv and her family received a devastating blow last month when she was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma – a rare soft tissue cancer. A gruelling course of treatment has begun, and Liv is bravely sharing her journey on Facebook – ‘Dora and Me. A story of the unwanted explorer’.
We are doing a 12hr Curcit at Waltham chase village hall on 7th December. Its going to ge 1hr slots from 8am-8pm. Please see myself or Msg me on 07968391517 to book in. Donations to be made via this page. Supporting us are https://elevatehampshire.simplybook.it/v2/
Liv’s mum, Jenny, a midwife at QA Hospital in Portsmouth has taken time off work to care for Liv, whose treatment will require regular travel to Winchester, Southampton and London over the coming months. A close family of four, dad Simon, and brother Finn, an 11-year-old student at Swanmore College, are trying to keep things as normal at home as possible.
Driving fundraising for the family is close friend Michelle Barrett & uncle Tom who say: There is so much love out there for Liv, Jenny, Simon and Finn. We want to channel our efforts into something tangible to help in any way possible. Easing some financial worries will go a long way and give Jenny and Simon some breathing space to fight this fight.”
