    Story

Friends of Double Joy is a grassroots UK charity which raises money for Double Joy Children's Farm, an orphanage in western Kenya. Double Joy is home to 95 vulnerable children whose parents were the victims of AIDs and other severe illnesses. Double Joy offers these amazing children a safe, stable and loving home and a good education to help them into adult life. The orphanage needs £8000 a month to survive with 40% of this coming from regular donations and 60% from fundraising. Since Covid-19 crisis, all fundraising has stopped. This has meant Double Joy will struggle to survive and care for the children if we don't raise money to help!

Please join us on Saturday 2nd May at 11am and host your own tea party with members of your family in your home, virtually over skype with friends or with neighbours from afar! We hope to #sharethejoy by having simultaneous tea parties across the UK! What better way to #sharethejoy than having a nice cup of Kenyan tea and a slice of homemade Victoria sponge with your loved ones!

Please make a small but much needed contribution to Double Joy and we can help look after these vulnerable children as they too face the global pandemic, but, thanks to you, not alone!

All of the money (100%) raised from the Double Joy Tea Party will be donated directly to Double Joy to be used to buy food (including the special diet for those children living with HIV), firewood for cooking and other vital supplies. Your generous donations will keep the orphanage running during this uncertain and worrying time.
