🌈 Eagle Rock Run Club presents… THE DOUGHNUT ULTRA 2026

24 hours. One loop. One team. One very special reason

Following the success of our first Doughnut Ultra, Eagle Rock Run Club is back for round two!

On Saturday 7th November 2026, we’ll be taking on our second annual Doughnut Ultra — a 24-hour team running challenge around Broughton, raising money to support Rupert’s Rainbow.

From 00:00 until 23:59, our team will take turns running a loop around Broughton, with one simple rule: there must always be at least one person running.

Anyone is welcome to take part, not just members of Eagle Rock Run Club, making this a fantastic community event bringing people together for one very important cause.

And while the challenge itself is a bit of fun, the reason behind this year’s event is incredibly important to us.

🌈 Running for Rupert

Rupert is my godson. He has Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC), an extremely rare condition which can have a significant impact on children and their families.

Rupert’s Rainbow is aiming to raise £1.5 million to give Rupert the best possible chance at his future.

The money will help fund specialist therapies for Rupert now, while also contributing towards research into future treatments and, ultimately, a cure for AHC.

There are daily advances being made in AHC research around the world. We want to help make sure that finances are not a barrier to Rupert accessing potentially life-changing treatment when it becomes available.

🏃 Our target

This year, we’d love to turn the Doughnut Ultra into something even bigger. Whilst we don’t have a specific figure in mind, our target will be set at £5,000 towards Rupert’s Rainbow’s £1.5 million fundraising target. It would be incredible if we got close to this.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference to Rupert and his family.

And if you fancy getting involved rather than simply donating, anyone is welcome to join the Doughnut Ultra — you don’t have to be a member of the Club. We will be set up somewhere near to the new Slim Chickens on Broughton retail park, Flintshire, N.Wales.
