Weʼve raised £40 to help support those in the childbearing year who are experiencing financial hardship and vulnerability
- Funded on Tuesday, 19th May 2020
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Doulas Without Borders is a voluntary network, offering accessible grass roots services to those experiencing multiple disadvantage and financial hardship during pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. We provide companionship, advocacy, support and signposting, we help when we can with translation, we help build bridges and create community for those whose lived have been fractured by circumstance. Our clients often have no baby clothes or phone credit to let loved ones know when baby arrives and no money for a meal after the birth. Our team members need funds to get to our service users, get birth plans printed or buy a coffee to stay up through the night with someone in labour. We need your support to continue!

About the fundraiser
I've been a Doula for over 25 years and am the founder of Doulas Without Borders. Support for those in the childbearing year can help break patterns and cycles of abuse and neglect and I believe we can help improve the future by supporting the next generation to thrive.
