Story
Every year for over 20 years, the residents of Downe have watched the centre of the village sparkle over the festive period and why should this year be any different?
The lights were first introduced to the village by a Downe resident, Pauline Dawson in memory of her late husband. Each year they have continued to be a way to celebrate Christmas and remember other local residents who have passed away.
In 2020 The Downe Village Club had it’s opportunity to fundraise for good causes greatly reduced however if you would like to contribute towards keeping a tradition alive and trying to add a bit of nornality to a crazy year, then all donations are gratefully received
