Story
The Beau Halo Trust was set up after I lost my daughter, Beau Halo Henriques.
Beau passed away after a two-week fight post major cardiac surgery - she was just 5 years old.
In the months following Beau's passing, the national lack of child loss bereavement services and associated support soon became apparent, and thus, The Beau Halo Trust was born.
The Trust supports bereaved parents (and their families) through the loss of a child through the provision of emotional, practical and financial support.
The Trust also raises public awareness of the impact that child loss can have on parents, families and others.
Myself and 18 others are participating as a team in the Portsmouth Dragon Boat Festival on the 13th of May 2018.
The festival consists of teams competing against one another through a series of dragon boat races in order to be crowned as the overall winning team - something that we are all very keen to achieve (competitive? US?!...not much).
Please dig deep as all sponsorship will be directly donated to The Beau Halo Trust.
