A story of a girl, who left her home and country, knowing that there is something bigger than her, waiting out there.
My name is Daniela Ilieva and I am a Bulgarian with a Spartan heart. This January in Lisbon, Portugal will be held the European Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF Championship. A championship I'm dying to take part in, but unfortunately cannot afford.
After a year of training and competing in this amazing art - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I ended up with hundreds of new contacts, thousands of memories, knoledge that no university could give me and a couple of shiny medals to show off to my kids one day. Most important of all I learned patience, courage, ballance and HEART. While living abroad I realized something really important. I realized that no medal has a true valuie if you have no one to welcome you home after a competition.
I always knew I have a purpose in life, different than most people's. And even though I'm finding my passion quite late, I know there are no limits for te dreams.My journey wasn't easy, I had to work really hard and make a lot of sacrifices. I supported myself throug all the competitions, I worked 12hr nightshifts to be able to train and compete, and the only help I asked for was in terms of knowledge. But now I need your help. Now I'm back to my country and things are not as easy as I would like them to be. But this will not stop me.This only motivates me to find a way.And there is always a way, no matter how bad the situation is. I'm currently looking to relocate in the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia, where I can train and prepare for the European Championship in 2017. The Non-Olympic sports are not supported much, that's why I need your help with paying for Registeration, Flight tickets and Accommodation for the IBJJF Euros.
