I've raised £750 to support the Winter Appeal for Young Refugees in Brighton by the Hummingbird Project by running the Brecon-Cardiff ultra marathon

We've all seen the scenes on the news recently of people bellowing noise about refugees and generally making the UK seem a bitter and unwelcoming place. That's why I'm trying to raise money for a local refugee project here in Brighton that helps counter these false narratives and welcome, nurture and support young refugees to fulfil their potential in their new lives. I met some of the team from the Hummingbird Project just before Christmas and was really impressed with the work they were doing to support every aspect of young refugees' development, experience and confidence.
The only thing I'm much good at is running, so to motivate your donation I'm running the 70k(ish) Brecon to Cardiff Ultramarathon on Sunday 19th Feb to crowdfund for them. They're a small charity that doesn't appear on the major giving platforms, so I'll be collecting it all and donating in full to them directly at the end of Feb.
Have a look at their website here: https://www.hummingbirdproject.org.uk/
Thanks xxxx
