I've raised £13276.77 to set up a befriending service in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.

Disability Social Network would like to set up a community befriending service, run by volunteers to help the vulnerable within our community that are lonely and struggle without contact and support.
This project will create more connections within the community. It will ensure that people get the support they require and the human contact that they would not usually get without this service.
Not only will people be able to self-refer to the project, but other services within our local signposting network will also be able to refer people to us as well. This will create a support network within one that already exists of people looking out for our most vulnerable in society and helps build connections with local people.
This project will create social cohesion within the community of West Lindsey by connecting people in need, with our volunteers. This project will help combat isolation and loneliness that has worsened since the pandemic began. From our previous and current work, we can see that there is a need in our local community and that this service would be invaluable to many people.
We need your help to raise the funds to be able to set up this service. If you can, please donate today to help us be able to kickstart this invaluable service in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.
