Story
I am trying to fund the cost of my C1 licence costs.
I am a young father and want to fulfil my dream of making a difference to my community by working in the ambulance service and becoming a paramedic.
I volunteer for my local St John division and am a newly qualified community first responder, I already work for the NHS as a health care support worker working in the community with the older persons mental health team.
It's been a lifelong dream of mine to become a paramedic but life has prevented me in the past, I'm now 33 with a young family to support so I am unable to do the paramedic science course so I need to fund my own licence costs which can cost up to £1000 to be given the opportunity.
I want to be able to work for the ambulance service to make a difference to people's lives in their time of need, assist the rural community of which I live and to support my family.
Any funds raised above the actual cost will be donated to St John Ambulance Cymru Newtown division who's volunteers work tirelessly to provide first aid cover at local events.

8 years agoTwo god things today: 1. My DBS police check is on its way back so i can soon be let lose on the acutely sick of Newtown. 2. DVLA application and medical form has arrived ready to be completed by the GP, now to find a GP to complete it that won't charge an arm and a leg.
