I've raised £5000 to Support research and developments for Theo and Boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, completing the Duchenne Dash C2C Bike Ride.

Myself and 14 friends will be completing the Coast to Coast bike ride from Whitehaven to Sunderland on Sept 26th – 28th, to raise money for Theo and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
The friends are Geoff Snaith, Jonathan Flynn, Andy Harbron, Paul Skipper, Marc Dale, Gary Shackleton, Mark Spiller, Ash Thompson, Paul Garbutt, Dave O'hare, Kev Osmond, Lee Johnston, Sean McNicholas, Adam Aylott and Adam Johnston.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a condition none of us had heard of until a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, it’s now a condition we all know too well due to a young boy in our circle of friends being diagnosed with DMD. Theo is a little nine-year-old boy with a big personality. Theo is like every other little boy who just wants to run, ride a bike and play football just like his other friends. With your help and the help of DMD Charities, it might just be possible for Theo and boys like him to live the life they deserve.
Although at this moment in time there is no cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy there have been many advancements in research which gives hope of finding a cure or at least standard of care/treatments which can delay the onset of Duchenne until a cure can be found for this horrible disease. Fundraising like this is vitally important to continue investigating ways and to give Theo and boys like him a long and healthy life.
