Story
Duke was taken to the Vet on Monday (29/10) as he was looking very, very unhappy when trying to have a wee. He stayed in overnight and on Tuesday he was operated on for a bladder stone. On the Thursday he was allowed home having had 3 nights in vet hospital.
Duke is a happy, chilled rabbit, and is just over 2 years old. He has a sister and an adoptive sister, you can probably tell which one. He loves to give bunny kisses and loves a cardboard box. Our rabbits are house rabbits and have free range of most of the house. Some rooms are a no-go-area (think chewed USB/phone cables!).
Unfortunately, his pet insurance was in that period where you can't make a claim within a certain time period. But with Duke needing veterinary attention as he was really not a happy rabbit, Duke's needs came first.
This is Duke at the Vets, sporting a jacket and a decorative ear piece following his operation.
I'd never normally ask for help but but any help that you could give would be received with deep gratitude. Duke is such a handsome and playful fella and we couldn't bare to not give him a chance.
We thank you for your generosity.

5 years agoWe are sad to announce that after a short illness, Duke Bunny passed away yesterday, 26 February 2020. A trip to the vets in the afternoon and then an emergency trip in the evening where he was slowly leaving us and was helped along on his journey to the rainbow bridge by his vet. We will miss him.

6 years agoDuke's getting on really well. We are having more success in he is going in the poop deck rather than leaving little puddles around. He has been running around with Daisy and Tilly Bean and Daisy is currently flaked out!

6 years agoGuess who got signed off at the vets today...... No more trauma of trying to get medication in a rabbit! I think we are both relieved about that part of him being poorly. As well as the greens and hay, he has these nibbles. Just something that will hopefully help with his peeing department!

I know it’s not much but I hope it helps a little - he's a lovely rabbit and I know you all adore him x
