Duncan touched many people around the world, on Islay, and generations of us at the distillery. He was Bruichladdich's Stillman - Brewer - Engineer - General Distillery Manager, over a period of more than 40 years. A mentor to many, always the source of a good story, a true Ileach with huge hands and a huge heart, his determination and resourcefulness were the foundations of everything we've built since. He also gave 47 years to the coastguard on Islay, and had a passion for vintage engines wherever they could be found. He will always be missed. Our thoughts are with his family.
