Story
Duncombe Primary school serves some of the most deprived children in Islington. Our Pupil Premium percentage is the highest in the borough and the top percentile for poverty in the country.
This year we would love to raise money towards supporting our food bank and a Christmas hamper for many of our families that are financially struggling this winter. Lots of families that are currently feeling the pressure of the cost of living, and are doing everything that they can to provide for their children, so we want to help relieve the stress, and provide as much food and home essentials we possibly can. We are asking for your support and donations to help us provide this for them.
Our goal is to reach up to £3,000 so that we can use this funding fortnightly to order food, toiletries and essentials and also a possible Christmas hamper to help put a smile on our children’s faces during times of difficulty. The food bank will be open fortnightly at our school throughout the winter months.
We will be tremendously grateful for your contributions, and will be sharing this journey via Twitter, and will update the impact of the food bank through reports to Governors. Duncombe families and the wider community.
Thank you!
