As we face increasing challenges with the cost of living crisis, with many individuals and families struggling with both food and fuel, the support Dundee Community Food Network projects provide is needed more than ever.

These are local projects and people, mainly volunteers who work tirelessly all year round, who are rooted in their communities and are the key food providers responding to food emergency and insecurity across Dundee. Collectively they support over 9000 people a week with food, including children, families and older people, through food larders, community cafes, drop ins, community fridges and foodbanks.

They also play a key role as a trusted point of contact for people to access a range of support services and advice, including financial and mental health support, and they provide company, a friendly face and a listening ear.

The funds raised through this JustGiving Page will be used for food larders across Dundee to continue to provide food and other essential items. All food larders provide dignified and local access to low-cost food, including fresh food and essentials, which helps to offset other rising household costs.
