I've raised £2000 to Help Democracy Volunteers Observe the European Parliament Elections in the UK

On Sunday 19th May 2019, Four Democracy Volunteers Election Observers will be running the SimplyHealth Great Manchester 10k to raise funds to allow us to observe the UK's European Parliamentary Elections.
Max Wheeler, who is Head of Training, has already run a half marathon for Democracy Volunteers and will be trying to run this 10k in under 50 minutes.
Joshua Wakeford, our national Media Officer completed the 10k last year. This year he's fitting the run around the completion of his studies at Manchester University.
Ben Sharpe is the first our two first time runners, he is a final year student at Manchester as well. He keeps call the 10k 'a race' which suggests he plans to compete to be the fastest of our foursome.
Finally, Oliver Barron will aim, with Joshua and Ben to complete the run in under an hour. Guess what?! He's also a final year undergraduate at Manchester.
Please consider pledging more if they reach these targets, it will motivate them through their training!
Because elections are sporadic, it can sometimes be difficult to plan for every election, especially at the moment. This funding will help Democracy Volunteers to recruit and support observers for the European Parliamentary Elections at the end of May, which we think everyone will agree, were a surprising addition to the UK elections timetable! We will use your money wisely to observe as much of the UK as we can on May 23rd. (Counting of votes for the election won't be complete until May 26th which is why the page will remain open until this date.)
