Story
24 cadets and 4 adults from Dyfed and Glamorgan Army Cadet Force have been selected along with 48 others from across Wales to travel to South Africa and embark on an expedition through the South African felt.
The exercise will provide opportunities for cadets to trek wild, following the Zulu trail that was used by the 24th Regiment of Foot. The trek will take them through a game park where they will be camping wild with the animals and finally finishing at the battlefields of Isandlwana.
They will embark to South Africa as part of a Pan Wales team, they will also help with much-needed repairs to the battlefield site by restoring some of the war memorials and in return, they will go on a safari and hopefully see the big five.
