I've raised £1000 to help fund Carter's surgery

In September this year I will be participating in the Great North Run for a second time, this year he is running to raise money for 3 year old Carter who will soon be undergoing surgery.
Carter suffers from a condition known as Spina Bifida, which literally means ‘split spine’, and is when a baby's spine and spinal cord don't develop properly in the womb, causing a gap in the spine. In spina bifida, part of the neural tube doesn't develop or close properly, leading to defects in the spinal cord and bones of the spine, Carter's condition has caused him to suffer a number of symptoms including requiring the use of a frame to walk.
This September, Carter will be undergoing an operation to help relieve some of the symptoms he suffers from his spina bifida, some of which include being unable to walk without aid. All the funds we raise will be put towards the cost of the operation and to support Carter and his family through this tough period.
