Story
This is a collective fundraiser brought together by Early Intervention families - 53 of us taking part in the Kiltwalk 2026.
Early Intervention (Aberdeen) is more than a group - it is a lifeline built by families who knew their children deserved better - and took action to make it happen!
We are a volunteer-led, grassroots community group providing support and opportunity for neurodivergent children and their families. For over four years, we’ve turned shared challenges into collective action - creating a safe, inclusive space where families feel seen, supported and understood.
Together, we are creating opportunities that simply didn’t exist before - shaped by our community, and driven by the strong belief in what our children can achieve.
With over 400 regular service users and a current grant funding budget allocation of just a few pounds per child - the vast majority of our income to operate is generated by parents own fundraising efforts.
Through parent-led fundraising - We have opened the door to experiences that build confidence and connection - from active play and outdoor adventures to creative sessions, exciting outings and vital therapies including speech and language therapy, art therapy, music therapy, physiotherapy, sensory integration therapy and animal-assisted therapy.

Everything we do is shaped by lived experience. We know the barriers. We know the gaps and we are committed to ensuring every child has the support and opportunities to grow, thrive and be the best they can be.
Early Intervention still operates with No staff, No premises and extremely limited resources.
We remain fully committed to transparency, so our community can always see the impact of their support.
